What began as a small personal collection has grown into a fascinating and ever-evolving display of motoring history.

Today, Charlie’s Auto Museum houses over 100 rare and classic vehicles, along with an incredible variety of motoring memorabilia and vintage curiosities — all under one roof at Arthurs Seat.

Spanning more than a century of automotive innovation, the museum invites you to step back in time and explore an era when vehicles were built with style, craftsmanship, and personality.

Model Planes & Ships – Handcrafted by Alex Hose

A standout feature of the museum is the extraordinary collection of model planes and ships, all hand-built by local craftsman Alex Hose.

Made from recycled materials — including aluminium drink cans — these intricate models range in size and detail, with some stretching up to 4 metres in length. They're a true testament to creativity and patience, and a favourite with visitors of all ages.

Antique Household Items & Collectibles

Beyond the cars, you'll find a charming assortment of household antiques and curios, including:

  • Vintage sewing machines, typewriters, and cameras
  • Radios, record players, and early kitchen gadgets
  • A display of licence plates, petrol bowsers, tools, and nostalgic signs
